Profile in Courage...

Dear Friends, I am asking you to invest the next sixty seconds of your day by concentrating every bit of your healing and spiritual energies upon Dave Rietz, who lives in Goose Creek, South Carolina, a few minutes north of Charleston. Be kind enough to also let Dave know that you are thinking about him, by wishing him well: dorietz@awod.com Dave Rietz has been the notmilk webmaster for six years. During that time, he has been a profile in courage. Stricken with prostate cancer, Dave has defied every negative short term prediction by his physicians, while carving an enormous difference upon this world of ours. Retired from the United States Navy, Dave could have been traveling, or reading, or could have become a television couch potato. Dave could have adopted hundreds of different hobbies or interests. Instead... Dave has sacrificed thousands of hours of his precious time by building the largest anti-NutraSweet site on the Internet, and in doing so, has helped countless individuals: http://www.dorway.com Dave has also given of himself to produce the notmilk website: http://www.notmilk.com The animal rights movement would not be the same without Dave's dedication, having built Charles Patterson's site which promotes a great book, Eternal Treblinka: http://www.powerfulbook.com Dave is also the man who built the gruesome but effective slaughter site: http://www.slaughterhousecam.com Last night, Dave was presented with some pretty bad news. When he told me how lucky he was to be able to have helped so many people, I was reminded of a courageous Lou Gehrig who told a sold-out Yankee Stadium crowd: "You have been reading about the bad break I got. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of this earth...I may have had a tough break, but I have an awful lot to live for." Dave's prostate cancer has progressed. His PSA count has doubled in the past 20 days. The cancer has worked its way into Dave's bladder. There is bleeding. There is physical and emotional pain for a man who now looks death in the face. Whether or not you believe that long distance energy heals, the important thing to consider is that the power of one's belief in miracles has always astounded medical practitioners. That is why I ask you to focus your energy upon Dave, and to let him know that you are doing so. Love can become one's strongest medicine. Dave needs your love. Ultimately, Dave's body needs to heal itself. Won't you please help? Thank you.
